Found this tree while riding around the resort. Vic wants to put a face on the tree on our lot. Sounds fun to me!

Haven’t seen any family members for at least a year and a half and I’m sure you can relate to the hardship that’s been! Kelly came for a few days and we had many much needed hugs. One day we went in search of bonsai trees so that’s the first photo. Another day we met Holly Ave, my sister, and her husband Andy at a park mid way between us. No photos were taken, we were just so caught up in the “now”. Epic failure but we had a wonderful time.

We also drove through Apopka Wildlife Drive where I got this red shouldered hawk.

I also got this black crowned night heron.

Love this bench arrangement. In front of a house near our RV park.

We came to the Sanibel Captiva area for a few days. Vic was shooting an Osprey nest while I walked Zoe on the beach. Zoe turned 2 on Feb 25.

Another capture from Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. I took this one. He dove for a fish but didn’t get one. That’s why there are water droplets coming off him.

We’ve been going over to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge whenever possible lately. This Osprey photo is from there , taken during our last trip a few days ago when we had a beautiful sunny day. We’ve seen a lot of cold and cloudy days this winter. It’s hard to complain knowing the rest of the country is in such misery. Anyways… here is my Osprey hovering, searching for a fish. Hope you are looking on a bigger screen than a phone.

He has a “Pinocchio” nose doesn’t he? We found this bird sitting on a clump with reeds growing up behind him and it was hard to distinguish the bird from the background. I had to wait until he decided to swim around.

We got the first of two vaccination shots yesterday. We have been registered with the DOH FL and been receiving notifications telling us where shots were available in Lake county on a first come first serve basis. Jan. 11th we received a notification that scheduled appointments were available. As fast as I could make my fingers go I signed us both up and got appointments for Jan 12 at 4:20 and 4:40 pm. We expected a drive through situation. Nope. We had to wait in line outdoors (it was quite chilly) and were taken by appointment time. The process went smoothly and took about an hour and a half start to finish. Obviously some issues like what if you can’t stand a long time or what if it was raining? This was the first day of appointments so they have some fine tuning to do. We got the Moderna vaccine with our second dose to follow on Feb 10. They gave us a card with the vaccine info in it and instructions to bring the card to the second dose. It was suggested we get it laminated after that.
We are looking forward to heading north in our travel camper and visiting loved ones we haven’t seen in a year or more.
Some previously shown photos in a new perspective. Enjoy !
