We watched while hundreds of white and gray Heron, anhinga, osprey and Ibis flew in to roost for the night. This scene plays out nightly behind some local businesses that have a long wooden porch with a table and chairs set up to enjoy the space. We talked to several of the people that work there and they were all friendly and invited us to use their chairs and enjoy the show. It was old news to them I guess, they all went home and left us to take all the pictures we wanted. This spot is only 20 minutes from our campground.

I’m so excited about seeing some close family in a couple of weeks! My sister and her husband have sold their house in NY and are renting a house in Sarasota? Bradenton? while they house hunt. My daughter Holly and her husband Justin are going to Tampa for a wedding in two weeks. We are all getting together for lunch in Tampa Dec 16th. I’m very very excited to see them all! Can’t wait!

This butterfly parked himself right at my feet, talk about a ‘gimme’.

Yesterday we took pictures at a place near BJ’s off Merritt Ave in Merritt a Island FL using the new Nikon 7100 and a sigma 200-500 mm lens.

Victor was trying out our new Sigma lens and got this great shot of a gray heron in the shrubbery behind our camper.
