Jan. 7, 2026

It was another foggy morning but most of it cleared by the time we got to Joe Overstreet.

Then we went back out this afternoon. These shots are culled from the many we took today.

  1. These are drop-dead FABULOUS! Real prize-winners:>) I hope you’ll send some off to the Macaulay Library of bird photos at Cornell. Some of your photos should find their way into the Living Bird magazine, for folks all over the world to enjoy!

I especially love the one of the hawk with wings up, toes still touching the wire — about to let go, or not quite sure?

Thanks so much for sending your wonderful photos as you chronicle your travels all over the place. It’s great fun for us stay-at-homes.

If this note reaches you, FYI this might be my last winter at 6930 Sea Place Ave., so please stop by if you’re ever driving past St. Augustine between Jan. 17 and the end of April.

    Happy trails!

    Linda T.
