The warm weather is bringing out the butterflies and dragonflies. These are all from our favorite spot at the boat launch.

Hope you enjoyed the show.
Stay safe. XO

how can you tell that third one is a butterfly, it looks more like a dragonfly? These are very interesting to see up close!

Hi, Sally. Your (and Vic’s) photography is always terrific, but capturing these super-fast teeny-tinies is extra challenging. And you make them seem like they have personalities!
You must spend a lot of time waiting for “perfect” shots, and I’m equally amazed that you can I.D. so many bugs and birds. Thanks for sharing your work — and, teaching us so much at the same time:>)

The teeny ones are challenging but very rewarding. This place is magical with how much there is and the variety. We decided to stay in FL instead of going west this year. We are having a wonderful time – the photography opportunities seem endless and we now have very good friends here. It’s good to hear from you and I’m happy you are enjoying our pictures. Stay well Linda. XO

Well . . . I’ll be here at 6930 Sea Place until May 23 — if you’re in the neighborhood. You should see how big your mom’s gardenias have gotten, and the magnolia dwarfs the house! Of course I’ve lost a lot of the grass because of the shade from these growing giants.
I’ve also let the weeds creep in because it seemed too cruel to have widespread chemicals pourd on, just to keep the lawn looking nice. You pay a price, but last year there were so many monarch butterflies all around the house, I couldn’t keep up with milkweed plants to feed their offspring! This year, I’m scaling back because there’s nobody here most of the year to tend things as they should. It’s looking a little shaggy, but I want to be bee- and bug-friendly. It’s a balancing act.
It’d sure be great to see you again, and to meet Vic and Zoe. Happy days, all of you!

If we get over your way we will definitely stop by. It’s been hard to leave this place even long enough to do the necessary grocery runs!

That’s be great! But please give me a day or two heads-up in advance, to be sure I’m here.
I may be moving into a continuing care community later this year, so I likely won’t be doing another Jan. – May staycation here at Sea Place in 2027. Meanwhile, I’ll totally enjoy your terrific nature photography – -whether I’m in Florida OR Maryland:>) Cheers! –Linda T.
