Owls made the morning

So much great stuff!! These are all mine so I had a heck of a morning!!

We were at the landing / boat launch with Tom and Beth. Paul has been stalking a screech owl nest some distance away.

Tom says it’s unusual that pelicans are still on the lake. We saw about 15 this morning.

This shot reminds me of an Olympic pole vaulter.

You can really see the stripes (bars) on his feathers. I’d love to find a feather for my hat.

I’m counting this shot in my top ten best shots ever.

Vic called them in. Then Tom and I positioned ourselves strategically and waited for the birds to fly around. It was so much fun!! To my daughters – I was standing next to the golf cart to give myself protection. I was not in danger. 😎
