Hodge Podge of Good Stuff

Oct. 27, 2026

We have an assortment for your enjoyment. This Green Heron and Little Blue Heron were taken at our campground where the lake feeds into a little canal.

Green Heron
Little Blue Heron scratching an itch
Belted Kingfisher balanced on a wire over the canal
Osprey with a Gar
Got this Phoebe eating a bug down at the boat launch during a golf cart ride
Eagles on an Osprey nest on Canoe Creek Road. They like to sit here but aren’t using it to live in.
It was dusk. The bird on the left is the male. The female on the right is a third bigger in size

Here’s a typical eagle nest.

Kenny’s eagle nest is even bigger.

One time I saw an eagle nest at a nature center. They displayed it outside the center on the ground so people could see it up close. It was big enough to get inside and sit down comfortably. It was massive.

Hope you enjoyed the show.

Stay safe, XO

  1. Interesting collection. I was curious about eagles nests, now I know a bit more of what they look like. Big enough to sit in! What a world we live in. Great to see so many different species, looks like they are doing well in your corner of the world .
